Scarpa is a marble mosaic, created as a tribute to the famous architect Carlo Scarpa.
Directly inspired by the floors of the Olivetti Foundation. This development in stone mosaics was initiated by the Aesop brand. Known for their architectural concept stores, Aesop called upon the R&D resources of Ateliers Zelij to create a new concept store. For this re-interpretation, we designed marble tessellae measuring 35 mm on each side. Irregular edges mounted on mesh with wide joints of 5 to 8 mm in offset installation.
Easy to install, the flexible marble mosaic mesh can be glued to all substrates. Then, you can choose a traditional joint application. It is also possible to apply a poured micro-terrazzo. This way, you will achieve a more homogeneous installation (recommended for high-traffic floors).
