Dfira, le froncé, is a creation from Samir Mazer’s “Froisser les Murs” Collection. Unveiled at the Révélations Biennale in Paris 2025 at the Grand Palais, “Froisser les Murs” appeals to our senses. The ceramic becomes a bridge towards a new sensitive understanding of the earth. Through each piece, it evokes the vibrational qualities of a textile on a moving body.
Embossing, pleating, tufting, weaving, and gathering are the primary intentions of this new series. The motifs suggest the memory of this living material. Thus, the earth comes to life in contact with light. Finally, like a textile thread, a point of intersection between the finite and the infinite is revealed, a powerful symbolism that invites us to encounter the inaccessible by conjuring our emotions.
This creation is a true Bas Relief. It is suitable for architectural applications, delivered on a rigid frame of 30 x 30 x 2 cm for easy installation. Our teams assist professionals, architects, decorators, and art-sensitive individuals in creating custom wall decor.
